Starting point
You might recognize yourself in the story of Maaike, an experienced senior professional struggling to fully realize her potential. She has built a successful career across various fields and environments. Now, she finds herself at a point where she wants to go -for one time- on a truly new adventure. This feels like a scary step to her. Her fear of failure, as the fear of negative feedback from her close environment holds her back. However, she knows herself pretty well; she is aware of her tendency to be overactive. She knows by now that this is to make her environment as predictable and harmonious as possible. She has realized that this tendency will not reveal a truly new adventure. Thus, time for a transformative approach. But with whom?
Coaching objective
From this situation she reaches out to me. She wants to know whether I recognize her story and have experience with it. The overall coaching goal that emerges from the intake interview is: create a better body awareness, explore mental and emotional blockages, discover her life energy and visualize her new adventure.
Content of the coaching program
During the coaching sessions we work on:
- Practicing genuine attention and concentration; following impulse and intuition
- From always processing everything by herself to sharing and expressing her true needs
- From a serving attitude towards others to staying true to herself
- From always solving and fixing everything to enduring ‘pain’ and learning to deal with it
- From mental activities to physical activities
- From quick judgment and constant analysis to experiencing and observing without judgment
Coaching result
- She is using her body as a guiding instrument
- She no longer compromises when choosing new challenges
- She is better capable of recognizing and suspending her own judgments and analysis
- She realizes the discomfort she feels when being confronted with conflict and disharmony is her gateway to transformation
